Oboist, Florent CHARREYRE has recently won the IDRS Fox/Gillet Competition in Austin/Texas in USA where he performed as solist the Richard STRAUSS oboe concerto with the Austin Symphony Orchestra.

From this year, He's a Oboe player in Kyoto Symphony Orchestra in Japan.

Born in Auvergne, center of France in 1977, Florent attended Conservatoire National de Clermont-Ferrand with Alain BLANC-BRUDE in 1999 where he was graduated with First Prize by unanimously. He continued his studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris with Jacques TYS and Frédéric TARDY where he was awarded a First prise with TB distinction. In the same time, he worked chamber music with David WALTER, Laslo HADADY and Maurice BOURGUE.

In Japan, Florent worked from 2005 to 2006 with Hyogo P.A.C. Orchestra conducted by Yutaka SADO in Nishinomiya near Kobe.

In Europe, he is regularly invited as guest player with Liege Phylharmonic Orchestra and the Flamish Radio Orchestra in Belgium, Orchestre National d'Ile de France, Orchestre Symphonique de Mulhouse, Orchestre National de France, working under conductors such as Neeme and Paavo JARVY, Emmanuel KRIVINE, Ton KOOPMANN, Armin JORDAN, Dimitri Kitaenko, Louis LANGRAIS, Yoel LEVY... He has also played with TM+, Orchestre Pas-De-Loup, Musica 13, participated to The Young French Orchestra Tour and won the First Prize at the UFAM oboe competition in Paris.
